Yesterday, Donald Trump's sweeping global tariffs were halted by a Trade Court, claiming the President had exceeded his authority when implementing them.
Today, the tariffs were temporarily reinstated while an appeal by the US Government is considered.

Speaking in the Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Cavan-Monaghan TD Brendan Smith believes the EU should be taking initiative to negotiate.
He also says everyone loses out in a trade war and every effort should be made to avoid it.
