Number of local ESB customers still without power

A number of ESB customers across Cavan and Monaghan remain without electricity following Storm Chandra yesterday.

According to the ESB's powercheck website, the largest outage is in Cootehill where 74 customers are affected.

Elsewhere, 14 customers in Carrickmacross remain without electricity this morning. The estimated restoration time for Carrickmacross is 5pm today.

ESB has apologised for the loss of supply.

It is currently working to repair a fault affecting premises and will restore power as quickly as possible.
