Gardaí are at the scene of a two-vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Coppanagh Cross, Virginia, Co. Cavan at approximately 7:20am this morning.
The male driver of one of the vehicles was brought by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital. His injuries are currently being assessed, but is understood to be serious. The other male driver was hospitalised as a precaution.
The R194 between Virginia and Ballyjamesduff in Co Cavan remains closed and diversions are in place.
