People have turned out in their droves for this year's Virginia Show.
Over 10,000 people descended onto the popular showgrounds to celebrate the 82nd year of this annual event.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Cllr TP O'Reilly says the show has gone from strength to strength each year.
Classed as one of the biggest agricultural shows in the country, Cllr O'Reilly said the event is "well supported" every year not only by farmers and families but people from all aspects of life.
Cllr O'Reilly went on to praise the amount of work that is done in the background by people in the lead up to today, describing it as "phenomenal."
He said it's important to highlight the amount of work that has went into this year's event:
Also in attendance at today's show was Cavan County Chairman for the IFA Maurice Brady.
He said people come to Virginia from every county both North and South of the border.
