Over 1,100 people in Cavan remain without power this afternoon

Storm Floris has left 1,143 homes and businesses in Cavan without power this afternoon.

ESB crews are working to restore electricity supply as quickly and safely as possible.

The public is reminded to stay clear of any fallen or damaged power lines.

A Status Yellow wind warning remains in effect for the Northern Sound region until later today.
