426 claims have been approved for the Help to Buy scheme in Cavan and 421 have been approved in Monaghan since July 2020.
That's according to figures released by the Minister for Finance in response to a parliamentary question put forward by Séamus McGrath TD.
In Cavan, 181 of these claims were for purchased homes, with 245 for self-builds.

Monaghan saw 91 claims for purchased properties and 330 approved for self-builds.
There was a total of 783 applicants in Cavan and 774 in Monaghan.
Nationally, the number of approval was 41,143, with 31,446 approvals for purchased homes and 9,697 for self builds.
