Over 900 people are on a waiting list for cardiology services at Cavan General Hospital.
The latest figures from the National Treatment Purchase Fund show 908 people are on the outpatient waiting list for the service as of the end of March. 85 of those have been waiting over 18 months for an appointment while 259 have been waiting for at least a year. 296 cardiology outpatients have been waiting 6-12 months for an appointment, with the rest waiting up to 6 months.
The number is a reduction on last year's figure of 1,163 waiting on an outpatient appointment for cardiology at Cavan General
