Counties Cavan and Monaghan will receive over €3.48m for Housing Adaptation Grants to help more people stay in their homes.
The Housing Adaptation Grant for Older People and Disabled People assist with the necessary adaptations, repairs or improvement works in order to make the accommodation more suitable to the needs of older and disabled people supporting them to live in their homes.
Over €1.86 million was announced for Cavan, while over €1.62 has been allocated for Monaghan.
Senator Robbie Gallagher welcomed the news adding that the funding allocation for boths counties under this grant has increased this year compared to last year.
