A Co Cavan family has raised €65,ooo so far for local charities.
Maud Myles lost her husband Paul 13 years ago following a battle with Motor Neurone Disease and Dementia.
Now in it's 11th year, the annual Paul Myles memorial run will return to Cavan Town this Bank Holiday Monday.
Paul Myles was a well known Garda in the area and was known for his charitable heart and his love for running.
A pre - registration event will take place in the Orchard Pub Drumalee this evening between 5pm and 8pm.
All proceeds of this year's event will go towards Friends of Cavan Oncology and Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Maud Myles said she has been "blown away" by the support shown by locals over the years.
