Planning permission has been sought for a large scale residential development in Co Cavan.
Plans have been submitted for 109 residential units along with a crèche for the Loreto Road in Cavan Town.
The provision of a total of 65 residential dwellings which will consist of 23 x 2 bed units, 31 x 3 bed units and 12 x 4 bed units make up the proposed development. The dwelling types range from detached units to terrace units and are two storey. The provision of a total of 44 x duplex apartment units also form part of the application which consists 8 x 1 bed units, 18 x 2bed units and 18 x 3 bed units.
The duplex units range in height from two storey to three storey. Provision of a two storey creche with associated parking, bicycle and bin storage along with the provision of associated car parking spaces. The upgrading the existing access point from Loreto Road with associated works to include for provision of a right turning lane, provide for internal access roads, footpaths and associated site works complete the application.
A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and accompanies this application. Cavan County Council will make a decision on the application by the end of December.
