The 26 units would be made up of 20 duplex units in three 3-storey blocks comprising of 10 two bed and 10 three beds. Four single-storey semi-detached bungalows and two two-storey three-bed semi-detached houses are also included in the application. Permission for the new development was granted by Cavan County Council subject to 43 conditions including a developers contribution of €130,000.

The residents of the nearby Bellamont View have appealed the decision to An Bórd Pleanála citing concerns with road safety, traffic, and landowner consent.
