The Cavan Arts Festival is kicking off for its ninth year today.
This year's festival which starts today and runs until Sunday will promote the very best of local creativity while bringing world-class national and international talent to Cavan.
The Big Top Tent will rise in Con Smith Park for the weekend, magical musical as well as comic experiences will bring us late into the night at The Town Hall Theatre and as ever a few life-changing artistic experiences thrown in for good measure.
Highlights this year include a double bill of acclaimed Americana folk duo Dug, and Grammy-nominated roots and folk artist Zoé Basha along with the barnstorming smash hit Devil's in the Dance Hall by Edwina Guckian and featuring Seamus O'Rourke.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Committee member of the Cavan Arts Festival, Conor Harrington said this weekend will be filled with wild and wonderful arts and cultural experiences.
