Hundreds are expected to attend the popular 'Tréinfhir Gathering' which will take place in Monaghan this week between the 9th and 12th of June.
Noel Treanor started the initiative six years ago, in the hope of finding out more about his ancestral roots.
Mr Treanor highlighted the importance of "ancestry tourism" and believes that it is the "way forward" for counties such as Monaghan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Mr Treanor said the upcoming event will include a "busy programme" with talks, tours and live entertainment expected to draw crowds from near and far.
While locals will play a key role during the course of the event, Mr Treanor added that over 80 clan members are expected to also travel from abroad.
