Power restored to majority of customers across region

Power has been restored to the majority of customers affected by Storm Ashley across the region.

Over 350 customers were still without power this afternoon, with 200 of those in the Ballyconnell/Belturbet areas.

According to ESB power check, that outage has now been repaired, along with faults in Carrickmacross and Stradone.

Over 53,000 customers were without power after strong winds battered the country yesterday.
