Monaghan Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) is holding a public consultation meeting today in Carrickmacross for it's inaugural Monaghan Community Safety Plan 2026-2028.
The meeting will take place from 4pm to 8pm at the Carrickmacross Civic Offices with an "Online Fraud" presentation by An Garda Síochána at 6.30pm.
Staff from the Community Safety Team will be on hand from 4pm to 8pm at the venue, who will assist the public with filling in a paper version of the community safety questionnaires.
The questionnaires will form the direction of the Community Safety Plan.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Garda Tracy Donaghy of Carrickmacross Garda Station is encouraging members of the public to attend.
"This is a community safety event. It is hosted Monaghan Local Community Safety Partnership and will include a Garda presentation regarding online fraud, all are welcome to attend," she said.
