A public meeting has been organised to discuss and inform local people about the development of battery storage facilities in two locations in Cavan.
Permission has been granted for 8.5 acres of batteries stored in containers in un-zoned agricultural land in Shankhill Lower and also at a similar site at Pottle, Ballinagh.
The residents of both areas have come together to organise an information evening from 8pm on 17th June at Killygarry Community Centre, Dublin Road, Cavan. The organisers have invited representatives from both the battery company who have applied for planning permission and Cavan County Council to attend the event.
