A Monaghan senator is calling for the capacity of Casement Park to be reduced to reflect funding shortfalls.
£120 million in funding has already been allocated for the redevelopment of Antrim's County Ground.
It's estimated the full cost of the upgrades could cost in the region of £260 million pounds.
Monaghan Senator Robbie Gallagher believes a shortfall of £140 million should be grounds to reduce the capacity from 32,500 to around 20,000.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Senator Gallagher highlighted how Clones could benefit from these adjustments.
He believes this project should be down scaled as a result of this shortfall and savings from that could be re-directed towards the development towards St Tiernach's Park in Clones:
