Concerns have been raised in Kingscourt following reports of a man yielding a suspected knife in the town yesterday.
It's understood the man allegedly was carrying the weapon on the main street in the town just before 7pm yesterday evening.
A number of Garda patrol units could be seen in the area in the aftermath of the reports but Gardai confirmed to Northern Sound that 'no offence was detected'. Locals say that a description of the man was given to Gardai.
