Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection attended 25 emergency calls during December 2025.
That's according to figures released by Monaghan County Council this week.
Incident call outs attended were dominated by Road Traffic Accidents at over 50% in December.
The council indicated that other events included Storm Darragh, domestic fires, monitoring calls and assisting the national ambulance service and An Garda Síochána during this period.
In 2025, Monaghan Fire and Civil Protection attended 102 road traffic collisons, an increase on 75 in 2024.
It also responded to 44 domestic fires, an increase of seven since 2024, and assisted Gardaí or the ambulance service 38 times in 2025.
