Scotstown native Paddy McPhillips spoke on the Joe Finnegan Show on the athlete's victory at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.
Cian McPhillips set a new Irish record when winning his semi-final yesterday in one minute, 43 point one-eight seconds, the fastest time a semi-final had ever been won in.
His victory comes after some misfortune, having suffered from long Covid last year and a stress fracture in his leg.
