Senator calls for domestic abuse training for all elected representatives

There's a call for all elected representatives in the country to be given domestic abuse training.

Fianna Fáil senator Teresa Costello says victims often turn to their local politician for help - but not all are equipped with the necessary information or skills.

She brought the proposal before the Seanad this week.

Senator Costello says it's so important for victims to get the support they need when they do reach out.
