A local Senator has confirmed that an interim refuge facility has been located in Co. Monaghan, until a new facility is constructed.
Senator Gallagher has confirmed development to Northern Sound this evening.
According to the Senator, the site will be able to accommodate four people.

Furthermore, he confirmed that before year end, both Monaghan and Cavan County Councils will be in possession of three new safe homes, located in different parts of the county.
Senator Gallagher told Northern Sound he hopes the interim facility in Monaghan will be up and running in a number of months.
