Yesterday a search under warrant was conducted in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs.
During a subsequent search Gardaí found approximately €140,000 worth of suspected drugs on the premises.
A man in his 30s was arrested and detained at a Garda Station in Monaghan under Section 3 and 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/84. He has since been charged.

He is due to appear at Cavan District Court tomorrow morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
