A status yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued for Cavan. According to MetEireann accumulations of snowfall are possible this evening and overnight. MetEireann has also advised that poor visibility could lead to difficult travelling conditions. The warning comes into effect from 7pm this evening until 8am tomorrow morning. Counties Donegal and Leitrim are also under the status yellow weather warning.
