Margaret Conlon believes Michael Martin will remain in situ for the European Presidency.

A former Monaghan Fianna Fail TD believes Michael Martin will remain in situ for the European Presidency.

Fianna Fail TDs and Senators received a report earlier this week into how Jim Gavin was chosen as the party's candidate for the Presidential Election.

While party leader and Taoiseach, Micheál Martin came under harsh criticism for the failed campaign, he said he is confident that he will remain as leader of Fianna Fail.
