Teens in Clones urged to have their say on new hang out space

A workshop will take place in Clones Courthouse from 11am to 1pm tomorrow.

Monaghan County Council is appealing to young people in the Clones area to make their voices heard.

Last month, Minister for Children, Disability and Equality Norma Foley announced €500,000 in funding for new recreational spaces for teenagers.

€125,000 of this funding is going toward the Clones Teen Haven project, which aims to be a safe space for young people to hang out.

Following on from the recent site visit, Monaghan County Council is now hosting a Design Workshop.

This will be held in the Clones Courthouse from 11am to 1pm tomorrow, (July 15th).

All are welcome, but registration is required and parental consent is essential for anyone under 18.
