A local councillor has welcomed the news that the tendering process of regeneration works in Kingscourt is set to get underway.
The town centre regeneration project is set to transform Main Street, Kingscourt along with the former builders merchants yard.
Also included are plans for a new town library and a digital hub along with over 100 off-street parking spaces. Fianna Fáil Councillor Clifford Kelly says Cavan County Council confirmed to him that works on the multi-million euro project will be underway in the first half of 2026.
The local councillor says the project will provide new and improved amenities, a more vibrant and attractive town centre and improved quality of life for residents.
He says this will be huge for the area for generations to come.
