A thunderstorm warning has been issued for Monaghan and Cavan.
It runs until 6pm this evening. Met Eireann says it could result in lightning in some areas of the two counties.
Heavy showers and thunderstorms this evening over southern parts of the province with a chance of hail. Just isolated showers further north.

Mostly cloudy tonight, with scattered showers. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light southwest or variable breezes. Brightening up on Saturday morning with sunny spells and a few showers. The showers will largely die out later in the afternoon to leave a fine evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.
