Sinn Féin spokesperson on Justice, Home Affairs and Migration and local TD Matt Carthy, has said that it’s clear that tougher action is needed to address the problems caused by scramblers.
His calls come following the tragic death of a teenage girl in Finglas.
Deputy Carthy said that Sinn Féin representatives had been demanding action on scramblers for years.
He says not enough has been done to support communities who have been left terrorised by anti-social behaviour involving scramblers.
Deputy Carthy said the death of Grace Lynch in Finglas is absolutely tragic and should never have happened.
He says there is a significant problem with scramblers in many communities and not enough has been done to stop those involved in crime and anti-social behaviour using scramblers.
