Tributes were paid to a former County Councillor at the most recent sitting of Monaghan County Council.
John Keenan passed away unexpectedly at his home surrounded by his family in March.
Mr Keenan was elected in 2004 to Monaghan County Council for Fine Gael and missed out being re-elected in 2009 by the narrowest of margins.
In the most recent meeting of Monaghan County Council, Mr Keenan was remembered as a hardworking and hugely respected member of Fine Gael.
His love of vintage and his role as the Chairman of the National Vintage Organisation were outlined.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Fine Gael Councillor Aidan Campbell remembered Mr Keenan.
