Two more drug drivers were arrested recently by the Cavan Roads Policing Unit.
Last night, a van was observed driving at excessive speed in Cavan town.
A check on the mobility app indicated no tax.

The van failed to stop and after driving dangerously the driver attempted to flee on foot. Another mobility check showed the driver was disqualified.
On arrest oral fluid tests at Cavan Garda Station showed positive for opiates and benzodiazepines.
Another unaccompanied learner driver was stopped in the Kingscourt area and the roadside oral fluid test detected cocaine, cannabis and opiates.

Both drivers now face court appearances.
