Gardai are continuing their investigations after two masked men attempted to enter a home in Ballyconnell.
Gardai in Ballyconnell are appealing for information following the incident which occurred at approximately 7:30pm on the 10th of February.
Gardai at the time were conducting a checkpoint in the area and were informed of an attempted burglary to a property on Main Street Ballyconnell.
The homeowner was present in the property when two males in dark clothing and covered faces attempted to prise the door open.
According to Garda Lisa Stevens, the culprits fled the scene when people exited a nearby property.
While entry was not gained, the homeowner was shaken by this incident.
