Fianna Fáil Senator Robbie Gallagher has welcomed funding of over €80,000 for community vehicles in County Monaghan.
Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Dara Calleary, today announced €1.7 million in funding for 32 community vehicles nationwide under the CLÁR Programme. Welcoming the announcement, Senator Gallagher said the investment will make a significant difference for local communities.
He said these community vehicles are essential for ensuring people can access day centres, medical services, and transport to cancer treatment. This funding will make a real difference to those who rely on such services."
In Monaghan, €45,900 in funding has been approved for Errigal Truagh Special Needs Parents and Friends CLG, and €37,247 for Crocus Cancer Support Centre. Senator Gallagher said it's very welcome news.
