A significant shortfall of rental properties coming on to the market is continuing across the country and the region.
Nationally there are over 2,200 properties to rent online with just 20 of them in Cavan and Monaghan.
Out of the 10 properties to rent in Co Cavan on property website Daft.ie only 3 are below €1500 per month.
According to the website this week, the cheapest in Cavan is a two bed apartment for €1200 a month while the dearest is a three bed bungalow being guided at €2400 a month.
Similar to Cavan, Monaghan has 10 properties currently to rent on Daft.ie and three are also below the €1500 marker.
The dearest in the Farney county on the website is €1950.
While when it comes to shared accomadation, there are only 16 rooms to rent in the county of Cavan and 10 in Monaghan on the property digital platform.
The dearest is a double bedroom in a Co Cavan town at €1000 a month.
