A well-known priest from Cavan is being remembered for the role he played in the lives of his parishioners as he is laid to rest today.
Fr Oliver O'Reilly who was originally from Cornafean, Co. Cavan, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Connolly Hospital.
The priest drew national attention for his outspoken stance on crime in the border region.
People across the country have been paying tribute, with the Taoiseach describing him as someone who offered "moral leadership in a difficult time.
Speaking at his funeral service this afternoon, his younger brother Patrick remembered Fr Oliver for the great work he achieved, the help and support he offered to many people and his love of hurling.
Patrick outlined what had inspired his brother to join the priesthood.
