A status yellow wind warning has been issued for Cavan and Monaghan.
The warning is set to come into effect at 3am tomorrow morning until 9pm that night.
The alert will affect the entire country with Met Eireann warning of difficult travel conditions, flooding of low-lying coastal areas, wave overtopping, debris, loose objects displaced and outdoor events impacted.
Meanwhile, a status yellow rain warning for for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, Waterford begins at 9pm tonight, lasting until 9am tomorrow.
