Kingscourt Woman Helping Homeless 365 days a year. A Kingscourt woman along with her family feed hundreds of homeless people in Dublin each week.
Sonya McMahon says that her 'Help Our Homeless' community group; that is run by her and her family; offer food to the homeless in the city 365 days a year.
Sonya feeds up on 200 people, three days a week, outside the GPO. Additionally, outreach services seven days a week; visiting tents in parks and beaches in the harder to reach areas across the capital. Sonya believes it's important to let those who are most vulnerable know that "somebody cares"; especially at this time of the year.
The local woman says that she has been helping the homeless for the past five years. Sonya said seeing it first hand day in day out it's very sad seeing what these people have to endure all year around. Ronan Gargan has been speaking with Sonya about her efforts day in day out.
