Listen Back: Cross border competition in Clones

A a brand new community competition brought teams from Monaghan and Fermanagh together last weekend.

The cross-border, family sports festival brought together clubs from Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, at the Peace Link in Clones.

The event was supported by PeacePlus, a European funded programme that brings communities from across the border together.

Four teams; Monaghan Town F.C, Enniskillen Rangers F.C, Enniskillen Town United F.C, and Clones Town F.C, took part in the one day event.

In the final on Saturday afternoon, Clones Town overcame Enniskillen Rangers 3-0.

The competition was co-ordinated by Jason Maguire, the Health and Wellbeing Co-Ordinator at the Peacelink.

Maitiú Monaghan went along to the competition on Saturday, where he caught up with Jason Maguire, Tom Mohan, and Jordan Wood
