Minister of State for International Development and Diaspora, Sean Fleming, is calling on primary schools pupils across Cavan and Monaghan to get involved in the 'Our World Irish Aid Awards'.
The deadline is Friday the 31st of March. Speaking to the Wider View this week, Minister Fleming highlighted how important it was to instil in young children the values of appreciation, sharing, kindness and extending the hand of friendship when it is required.
The Awards, he added, were one way in which this could be achieved. First though, the Minister explained why the Awards hold such weight.
