Dermot McCabe has been announced as the new Cavan senior football team manager.
McCabe was ratified as new Cavan manager at a management committee meeting tonight. Indeed, McCabe's name will be forwarded to be formally appointed Cavan manager at next month's county board meeting.
In a statement issued this evening; the Cavan county board said;
“The Cavan County Board are delighted to confirm that Dermot McCabe has been appointed as manager of the Cavan Senior Football Team for a three-year term following ratification at this evenings Cavan GAA county management meeting”.
“This decision is subject to ratification by the f county committee”.
“Dermot’s backroom team will be finalised in due course.
We wish Dermot, his team and the panel the very best and look forward to the 2026 season and in the years ahead”.
Indeed, McCabe is currently Westmeath senior team manager. Whereas, Westmeath have not made a statement, they are now on the lookout for a new manager.
