At the Cork 20 international rally over the weekend, Josh Moffett with Andy Hayes on the notes took the victory to extend their lead in the Tarmac championship. The Hyundai I20 R5 crew had 8 and a half seconds to spare over the Volkswagon Polo R5 of Callum Devine with Meirion Evans 3rd also in a Polo. Devine and Evans remain in the title battle however Alastair Fishers chances appear to have gone after he crashed out of the lead at the weekend and failed to register any points. With one round remaining and drop scores to be accounted for, it looks set for Josh to claim his 2nd title of 2022 on the weekend of 19th/20th of August at the Ulster Rally.
