Kingscourt Stars progressed to the semi-final of the Hotel Kilmore Cavan senior championship but Mullahoran brought them all the way.
Kingscourt were expected to Waltz into the semi-final but it took extra-time for them to be crowned stars by one point 22 points to 2-15.
Goran Brady found the Kingscourt net after 14 minutes with Philip Brady adding a second goal on 22 minutes leaving it 2-7 to six points in Mullahoran’s favour.

Kingscourt were willing to be the butt of an upset and battled back with the game finishing 16 points to 2-10.
The teams were tied 18 points to 2-12 at half-time in extra-time but points from Enda O’Reilly, Kevin Curtis and two from Barry Reilly saw Kingscourt to victory and a meeting with Cavan Gaels in the semi-final.
