A comprehensive victory over Caltra of Galway sees the Cavan side seal All-Ireland success.
Sarah McCabe opened the scoring with a penalty after six minutes, giving her side the lead.
Aoife McNulty followed up the goal with a point of her own a minute later from play. Whereas, Abbi Connor landed the first free of the game after 10 minutes, as Knockbride moved into a five-point lead.
After 19 minutes Gia McCabe seen her shot drop short, catching the Caltra goalkeeper out and landing her side’s second goal of then day.
Abbi Connor added her second free of the day on 23 minutes as Caltra were held scoreless in the opening 30 minutes.
At half-time Knockbride held a nine point advantage 2-3 to no score.
Indeed, Abbi Connor opened the scoring for the second-half with a free, her third of the day. After 42 minutes it was O’Connor again who extended her sides lead out to 11 points, 2-05 to 0-00.
Caoimhe Ni Cheallaigh landed her side’s first score after 46 minutes, but Eliie Reilly responded almost immediately.
Knockbride hit the Caltra net for the third time of the afternoon on 48 minutes. Katie Rogers put Abbi Connor through on goal, giving the keeper no chance firing to the bottom right corner.
Sarah Noone added points late on for Caltra bringing their total to four points for the afternoon, as Knockbride were crowned All-Ireland Intermediate champions with 15 points to spare.
