Cavan's Leanne Kiernan has signed for Liverpool Women FC. Having spent the past 3 seasons with West Ham in the Super league, the former Shelbourne player has been brought over to the Red lady's by manager Matt Beard who previously signed her for the hammers. Liverpool currently compete in the FA Championship which is the 2nd tier of ladies football in England, but having finished 3rd in the table in the last season, would be eyeing up a promotion to the Super League for 2022. The winger who can also play as a striker has had a stop start couple of months due to injury which has seen her miss out on selection for the Irish senior team, but teaming up with Liverpool and Matt Beard will afford the Cavan footballer an opportunity to get plenty of game time.
