Last weekend seen the Midland motor club host the opening round of the Triton Showers National Rally championship and the Sligo Pallets Border championship with their Jeremy O’Connor Stages rally. An incredible day of racing seen the top seeds Josh McErlean and Eoin Treacy take the win in their Ford Fiesta by half a second over the Hyundai I20 of Matt Edwards and Sion Williams with Josh Moffett and Keith Moriarty completing the top 3 in their Citroen C3. Cyril Rollins was clerk of the course and he spoke to our reporter Sean Mc Caffrey during the week reflecting back on what was a very successful weekend
