With the club championships now entering the knock out stages of their competitions across the region, a little more focus is now coming to bear on the rules within the game. The introduction of the changes by the football review committee at the start of the year have been heralded as a massive postive to the game by specatators with players also now saying it has made it more enjoyable to play. Darren Hughes who announced his retirement from the inter-county scene last week, played for Monaghan this year under the rules and is now busy with his club Scotstown in the senior championship. He remarked to the sportsdesk that the game is diffenitly the better for the changes
