It was a share of the spoils for Monaghan and Cavan in their opening round of the Ulster U20 championship on Wednesday night in Paric Gratten Inniskeen.
Bobby McCauls goal had given the hosts a 1-8 to 6 point lead at half-time. However, an improved performance from the visitors in the second 30 minutes saw them claim a point. After the game Damien Donohoe spoke to Breffni manager Larry Reilly who was happy to have gotten a point but disappointed not to have had more.
Sean McCaffrey caught up with the Monaghan manager Paul Curran; who was lost for words in regards to their 2nd half performance which seen them score only two points.
