Cavan fell to a heavy defeat in division four this afternoon, as Sligo put eight goals past them.

Gerard O’Kelly Lynch opened the scoring with a goal for Sligo after a minute of play.
Andrew Kilcullen, Conor Hanniffy and Thomas Cawley all found the back of the Cavan net in the first-half.
Four points from Mark Moffett along with a Jack Barry score saw Cavan trail by 24 points at half-time.
Cavan registered three points without reply in the second half through Stephen Sheridan and Mark Moffatt.
The Sligo dominance continued as O’Kelly Lynch, Thomas Cawley and Andrew Kilcullen all raised the green flag in the second half for Sligo as they outclassed the breffni side.
Sligo running out 31 point winners on a score line of 8-19 to 0-12.
