Leona Maguire has had a steady opening in the 2nd of the ladies majors at the U.S Womens Open. The Cavan golfer is currently inside the top 20 on 1 under after an opening round of 70 which seen her with a bogey on the 2nd hole followed by birdie on the 6th. A further Bogey on the 7th was cancelled out with a run of birdies on the 8th and 9th to take the turn on 1 Under. The back nine seen a bogey and a birdie to sign for a 70, six shots of the lead held by American Mina Harigae who is on 7 under.
