It is a break in the Allianz National football league this weekend and with only 2 rounds plus finals to be played attention is already turning to the championship. While it has been a poor league for Monaghan and Cavan with both in relegation bother in Division 1 and 2, they will have an eye on their Ulster championship quarter final meeting next month. Details of that fixture have been confirmed by the provincial council with it fixed for Sunday the 19th of April at 3pm in St Tiernachs Park Clones. The Ulster competition gets underway a week earlier on the 12th of April with the preliminary round meeting of Armagh and Tyrone at the Box-It Athletic Grounds. The winner of that fixture faces Fermanagh in the quarter final. Saturday the 18th will see Derry host Antrim while Donegal get their defence of the provincial title underway on the 26th when they host Down.
The Ulster final is down for decision on Sunday the 17th of May in Clones
